The Creator is a 2023 American science fiction action film directed and co-produced by Gareth Edwards, who co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Weitz. It stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson and Allison Janney. Set in 2070, 15 years after artificial intelligence (AI) set off a nuclear detonation in Los Angeles, which started a war of humans against AI, an ex-special forces agent is recruited to hunt down and kill the « Creator, » who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war.

Synopsis
En 2065, l’armée américaine affronte, avec pour enjeu la survie de l’Humanité, une intelligence artificielle avancée qui, bien que conçue pour servir et protéger, a lancé une ogive nucléaire sur Los Angeles, dix ans plus tôt. La situation est d’autant plus inquiétante qu’elle a son repaire dans l’immense Nouvelle Asie (qui couvre l’Asie du Sud-Est, Japon, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal et des parties de l’Inde), dont les habitants cohabitent avec une abondante population de robots intelligents, nommés « simulants ».
